As much as I would like to I dabbled in it and then went on to do what I normally do. I still have trouble defining hermenutics as different from exegesis. lol

And then sometimes I think that I do it anyway. I suppose that I am just a layman worker for Christ. I try to put the principles which are found in the Bible in layman terms, so that anyone can understand. I find that the problem typically is; they don't often want to understand.

Yes, as a student of theology I study hermeneutics. However your definition isn't quite the one that I have in mind. Hermeneutics is the art and science of interpreting Scripture and finding ways that make the interpretation applicable to life today.

Yes. I learned to look at scripture in a whole new way, and rather than lose respect for it, it gives me a greater appreciation and broader understanding.

Only theology students use that term, and their education is much more than of Judas Iscariot.

Jesus says to search the scriptures because they bear witness of me; "If any one lacks wisdom, let him ask of God..." etc. The Holy Spirit was originally given to those with a degree in fishing.

That class basically turned me into an Atheist, so it was pretty central to who I am. If you click on my profile, it's in my 360...but yeah!
