Because Christians have minds of their very own and can make judgements for themselves on political matters. We are all human and all different from one another, so it is no surprise that some christians lean towards support, while others oppose.

I only Understand this a bit - not to God's FULL understanding! The wars and political disputes throughout the World IS part of the Latter Days!

Jesus Himself spoke of Various Wars that Would happen in the Latter Days - the One in Iraq IS only One of them.

As a reminder of this - The Euphrates River! Take a look for yourselves - It's there!

The Church that we go to does support the war - The Original Reason WAS WRONG - however - there was NO CHOICE!
Saddam wanted and was making plans to rule the Entire Middle East - NOT GOOD! Him and His Minion HAD TO BE STOPPED! Thank God - It Was! Praise the Lord!

Now, We Have to Get Osama! We Will - I Pray Very Soon!

Please Be at Peace - Ask for the Grace of the Lord!

Because some churches have confused Christianity with U.S. patriotism, and some believe peace is the larger Christian vision.

i am a pacifist, and i believe the teachings of christ tell us we need to be a pacifist. for me, the difference is seen in which "section" of scripture one holds "more" dear - if you are an "old testement" christian you follow a more "law" given approach to the world and your faith - if you are, as i am, a "new testement" follower you tent to the grace and forgiveness end of things.
