Are they afraid they may have to hang their hoods up?

First of all you should not find the question offensive if you are not a bigot!

Secondly if you know your not bigoted why would you answer this question? Must have hit the nerve of the closet bigots.

You know what America can't stand? A black person or minority period that has power, respect, a education and, his/ her full life ahead of him. They would rather see him/her in jail, poverty, or dead. So that is why bigots are afraid of Barack Obama because he shows that minorities don't have to succumb to the life that was given to them by the bigot's ancestors.

I'm a little unclear about your question, are you implying that people that don't like Obama are bigots? Or do you really intend to question about bigots and why they wouldn't like Obama. The people that are bigots probably hate Obama because he is black, right? Other people may question his track record, question his "electability", experience or would like to really understand exactly what his platform he will run on. I personally don't think Obama is a good candidate for the nomination because he lacks experience, I think if he was the Governor or his state he would have more respect. I also think he will have a tough time getting votes in the South (always red states) and those are the states that need to be won to win the election. If he was clear on what he would do as president and not try to be everything to everyone that would help as well.

From your post I would say that if you want to see a bigot - all you have to do is look in a mirror.

Personally I prefer to see some sort of managerial background (mayor of a large city, Governor etc.) before I would consider somebody for the presidency.

What is scary is that so many people say he good looking, charismatic and a good speaker. They dont talk about his stands on the issues. I do not agree with his views on some of the issues thus he does not get my vote. He voted to give illegals SS benefits even tho they never paid into the system. His skin color is not a factor. I did vote for him for senator but am now sorry I did.

That's easy. Racists are essentially losers and bullies who base their fake "superiority" on a self-induced delusion that blacks are somehowe "lesser" humans. And, they base their self-image and identity on that delusion.

Obama--a successful, intelligent black--is inescapable evidence that strikes (by virtue of his very existance) at the foundations of their worldview. The idea of him leading the country thus is a terrifying possibility--a reality in which their delusions cannot be sustained.
