I think that radical Muslims probably believe that Allah is the only One worthy of worship, but they have removed themselves from the principles of true Islam--they have strayed so far from the Straight Path that their thinking and actions are badly distorted. They have forgotten that the letters "s, l, and m" are roots of Arabic words meaning "submission" and "peace."
The "Devil" or Shaytan or Iblis is a being that has free will, that tries to lead people away from the True Path, but a Muslim will not worship him because this "jinn" is not comparable to God.
If, in your theory, these radicals are "worshipping" this being, then they are not true Muslims.
Allah is "ahad," or the Only One to be worshipped. A lot of what is going on is not religion, but politics.
There is going to be a Million Dua'a day of fasting and duaa after every prayer on July 2 for Muslims everywhere in hopes of an end to the bloodshed.

I know what you are trying to say.
The problem is that there is no radical and no moderate Muslims in the light of the Islam. Muslims are supposed to follow the commandments completely and not leave any part of it. It is the believers choice of what he interprets the Qur'an as.
Some take things out of context and quote things if said separately will sound awkward but if you read the whole text in its complete context and also the time and situation in which the commandments were revelated you will find through reasoning that this is acceptable.
The problem is that some groups of Muslims as well as non-Muslims quote different verses of the Qur'an and confuse people and make them believe that this is the way something is supposed to be followed. In Islam every human is accountable on his / her actions whether good or bad, I cannot blame the person who quoted me some verses and then I blindly followed it.
Then what's the difference between us humans and the animals. Like a flock of sheep just follow the Shepard even if he is taking them to the slaughter house.

I think that they have deluded themseves into thinking that they are doing God's will by projecting their own will and preconceived notions onto God.
So I tend to agree with your last suggestion.
God knows best what is in their hearts.
Khaled Abou El Fadl wrote an excellent book on the subject called "The Great Theft: Wrestling Islam from the Extremists".

I see that you are stressing, "radical muslims", however, it is not just Muslims who have twisted the ways of religion. There are backwards, fanatics in every religion, who somehow find ways to justify violence. ALL of the radical "religious" people in the world apply to your question. Its easier to pinpoint one religious group (especially Muslims, since after all they are the "seed of the devil") but in reality, the only way we will ever evolve is to recognize that there are crazy people in all religions!!! Leave God to deal with these insane fanatics, who have so successfully tainted the name of Islam.

Dude, radical muslims are worshipping their own god. if their god is your devil....then so be it. but also...read up more on their beliefs.... the Kuran says that it's okay to kill but only in the name of god. kill the infadels....that sort of thing. to them its not a sin...and sins are acts of "the devil." when they kill innocent peeps cuz those peeps aren't muslims... they're providing a direct service to their God, which is the opposite of a sin (the word escapes me...). they do what they think is right...afterall...isn't that what most radicals do? and to be honest...i believe they follow their morals way better than ANY christian i've met. catholicism is based on power...back in rome... the pope had the same, if not, more say and power than the emporer himself. when all this power is directed to one person....well...you see what has happened. these radical muslims.... there really isn't a pope-ish kind of person. they all worship and are praised equally pretty much. and lemme ask you this.... try and name five christians that you KNOW would readily give up their life, without regret, indecision, repose, grief, or hesitation?
i'm not saying its cool for muslims to kill innocent poeple, or for anyone to kill anyone. i am not condoning one religion or saying certain people believe wrong.... i'm asking who defines "wrong?" these radicals apparantly define it way differently than us.... but we'd be arrogant and ignorant to say that they are wrong, for we are just as wrong to them as we think they are to us...... think about it...

the fault lies not in the stars " gods or devils " but in ourselves
maybe if each of us held ourselves responsible for are good actions and bad we might not confuse so much . god and devil were not created by mankind not as a scapegoat but to inspire those who had little education and understanding of the importance of morals to mankind. it's just like the polytheistic systems symplified for better understanding but people are confused by their childish view and don't actually learn why these things represent so much importance .
peace through understanding not war through religion

America's media made Islam look bad in front of the world to make you think that we love to kill, here is one.
two. let me ask a question, why did they do that?? simple as this >>>> Money, oil, gas.
three. Israel is controlling America (as we all know) to invade Palestine to establish the great Israeli country (from the River to the River ) and BTW i strongly believe that it's gonna happen soon.
And People Stop Saying That Muslims Like to kill because i assure you we don't, OK OK your gonna ask me "what about 9/11?" am gonna answer you "what about Iraq, Palestine and Lebanon?".

They probably think he dislikes what they do, because they blieve killing the christians, jews, and non-believers is God's will....so they think when they follow God's will it makes the devil angry.
