It will be a puppy. It will be a girl. I like names that are unique but not too crazy.

We had a red-haired golden that was a beautiful copper color, and we called her Penny.

Another unique choice might be Fiona, since the Shrek movies are so popular, but the names aren't.

Some other cute ones might be Daisy, Sabrina, Bailey, Max, Lexi, Hannah, Sandy, and Belle.

I can tell you some names NOT to use if you want something unique: Molly, Chloe, Ginger, Maggie, Sophie, Lily, Phoebe, and Zoey. They are very popular right now! (I know, because I work in a vet's office.)

The best bet would be to look up some names on baby names web sites. It depends on if you like more human-sounding names, or more "dog" names like Fido and Fluffy. Maybe think of a favorite movie or TV show character you like. Whatever you decide on, you'll just know it when you've got the right one. Good luck!

Spend a day or two with the puppy. The perfect name will come to you. The personality will name the dog.

This site has 2000 dog names.http://petrix.com/dognames/
Just type in dog names and there are other sites.
It is important that the name is one syllable. It will get your dog's attention faster when you call her or are training her. Wait a few days to get to know her temperament. Make sure it is a name she will also suite when she grows up.
Congrats!!!!!!!
