Why can't our government make any decisions these days? They're always too busy arguing and trying to make the other party look bad to actually look out for the best interest of the country.

So far the wall is just for show. Bush wants this amnesty bill passed bad. So he built a few feet of the wall so people would think he was serious about border security.

Contact your representatives and tell them how you feel. Otherwise Washington will side with the corporations that exploit the illegal workers.

if we build a wall and dont address the reason that illegals are coming here, the only thing it will do is give more illegals jobs building the wall. look at the cross border program. people are against it and the house voted 411 to 3 to hault it until safty reg. were in place but the dot is not going to wait. go to dot and check out coments under search and doc #28055 and see comments. these rings that fernish faulse ids and jobs and housing and welfair and a lot more. could not exist without some very high gov. officials. which are also run by coperate america. we are being sold out by our own government and they dont care if we like it or not.

Where is the wall for the border to Canada?

That is where all the terrorists trying to get into our country have come from. Asian and European illegals come through the Canadian border.

Why, when you mention "building a wall" does it only apply to our border with Mexico?

How about a fence along the ocean to keep the Cubans out?

Oh, and just so you know, it takes time to build a fence. Have you seen pictures of the fence they are building? It is a monstrosity! If you are going to build a fence, they are doing it right, by building something that will last and actually secure the border. That kind of fence just doesn't happen magically overnight. It takes time to build it.

That fence is a waste of money. People will go over it, through it or around it.
We are too politically correct to enforce our own laws. They break the law and in exchange we give them jobs, free health care, and educate their kids in Spanish with our tax dollars. Then we wonder why illegal immigration is such a problem. It's like putting crumbs on the ground and screaming at the ants for coming.

i agree with the second part,in fact they have no desire to do anything the people want. they are controlled by lobbyists and corporations. in regards to the wall. about half the illegals entered legally,a wall won't stop that,we need real penalties for employers
