Your best bet for achieving the result you really want is to go to a hairdresser who is experienced with bleaching. It can be tricky to eliminate that brassy, gold tone most of us do not like. Be sure to take in a photo of you with the color hair you want so your hairdresser knows what you are talking about.

I am the esact same way as you. I had dark-dirty blonde and wanted to go back to the blonde blonde i was before. What you can do (is what i did) do/get your hair dyed very blonde, it may turn a but brassy or as you say yellow. Then go with a more natural blonde dye a few days after the first dye. The two will work together and wont make it yellow. After that you can do blonder highlites and it will look even more natural. Make sure you condition a lot. It wont dry out your hair that way. Im sure your hair will turn out great! :D GL.

coloring not a good idea.. you will regret it when you want your dark blonde back.. I think I am about a dark blonde and I still cant get back to my natural and its not easy and go buy what you think your natural is because fades and stuff.. and very damaging.

It is time to go to a pro for your color...It is too dark for 20V preoxide to give you the blonde that you want...do not do this at home You will always be brassy.
