First of all - thank your husband very much from me and my family!
Here are some suggestions:
- Sunscreen, sunscreen, sunscreen
Most people forget about that one and its one of the most requested items!. And also the zinc oxide to put on the nose.
and it doesn't matter the color of a soldiers skin - they all desperately need it
- Moist towelettes/hand wipes.
- pre-charged calling cards.
- non perishable snack items like the small packets of nuts you get at the gas station, beef or turkey jerky if he isn't a vegitarian. also think of other small snacks like that that are high protein and don't spoil and can be good for a long time. nothing messy though.

I'd probably want to receive some new underwear and t-shirts from home, and maybe sleepwear too. And, put some food in there like beef jerky, dried fruit, or mixed nuts. I'd also like several good books. If you could put some coupons in there for a date with my wife including a babysitter voucher, and some one-on-one dates with each of my kids, that would give me something to look forward to. I would probably be completely excited if you enclosed an itinerary of a short family vacation too - like to a National Park or an Amusement Park, or on a cruise so I can be pampered.
I might also want some basics like deodorant, toothpaste, a new toothbrush, and my favorite shampoo. If you could send some more razors, that'd be thoughtful too. Oh, and although I won't suggest "porn", a non-exposing but suggestive and sexy pose from you would really be cool. Just not something I'd freak out if any of the other guys spotted it.

Crystal Light and stirred up singles, Hard candies, baby wipes, if he is in an area with lots of kids so he can see some smiles send some bubble gum, maybe a portable DVD player and some DVDs. Jerky ( beef no pork ). Don't know if it would work on sand flees but flee collars he can place on his boots to keep the flees away it works here in the woods on flees and ticks.

I think you've got a great start! Are there any specialty types of magazines that he likes? Handwritten letters are nice. Does he like jigsaw puzzles?
Just getting mail on a regular basis, sustains the morale of every Soldier deployed.
Most Soldiers have access to e-mail, but nothing can replace the value of a hand written letter or card.

First of all thanks to both of you for your service. It takes a great woman to care while the husband is overseas-or vice versa.
When I was over there I received items such as Tang, gum, Country time Lemonade mix, batteries, snacks, soft towel, and hygiene items.
Think of the items he buys for himself as a treat when you go to the commissary or get gas etc. Those items will mean so much more now.
One thing---When I was in we all shared food items. Usually we'll make sure to send stuff for someone who is not as fortunate, or has nobody. It's kinda depressing when people around you gets stuff and you have nobody. Your husband could get you a name and possibly send an anonymous package. We did that in Bosnia-it worked miracles.
Again- Thanks to both of you.
