With a 38H (or possible) is it reasonable to consider a reduction even if you aren't haven't back troubles? -Even just so I can be better involved in daily activities, such as running?

Sure, if you want a breast reduction go for it.

However if you do not complain about health issues it will have to be paid for out of pocket and not through your insurance company.

An H and NO pain? I envy you.

I was a 38J and had severe back pain. My insurance covered it 100% and all I had to pay was a $75 copay for the hospital.

If you find a good surgeon, and you follow the PS's directions, and use Scarguard and Mederma on your incisions, your scarring will be minimal. Having my surgery Feb 2006, my scars are barely noticeable.

Oh, and, not all guys think reduced breasts look terrible. A GOOD man will love you no matter what your breasts look like. My fiance LOVES my new reduced breasts. So, find a guy who loves you for YOU and not someone who only loves breasts.

If it increases your range of activities, sure.

However, consider the downside of a breast reduction. First, dudes everywhere will be unhappy. Second, you will get less attention from guys, much less.

Also, I've heard breast reductions look worse than bad implants, but I've never the seen post reduction breasts. It'd be worth it to find photos and ask a plastic surgeon about it and see if you can talk to people who had it done.

Nicole H,

This is really a personal answer. That said, a small breast size will allow you do be more active fitness wise.

You can go see a plastic surgeon for a consultation.

If you are still young, an operation maybe help with future problems and also with future breast sagging.

To better make your decision I would suggest doing some research on breast reduction. When it comes down to it this will be your choice. While many women have this surgery done due to back issues, you can still have this done for reasons that are important to you. To learn more about what this procedure involves and other details you should refer to this website: http://www.newimage.com/cosmetic-plastic-surgery/breast/reduction-overview.aspx

Breast reduction surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her breast reduction, tummy tuck and facelift surgery in India by the company called Tour2india4health Consultants .The Price for the surgery she paid in India was very less. She paid 30% of the cost she was quoted in America.

Tour2india4health Consultants is very famous in India. They arrange cosmetic and plastic surgery for foreigners in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low price, as the breast reduction, tummy tuck, facelift and other cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Hope this helps.
