If you're trying to get in shape, training for a sport, or are just looking to build some extra stamina and leg muscle RUNNING is a great way to start, but you can always use a little help.
*Leg weights and Ankle Weights are an old training technique, but are extremely effective at building STAMINA and MUSCLE.

Leg weights and Ankle Weights add anywhere from two to ten pounds to each leg and will greatly increase your stamina over time. It may not seem like much but adding that little extra weight will make your body work that much harder, and thus without you even knowing it you'll have built up some major stamina in no time. And when you take the weights off you'll feel a lot lighter, even tough you only shed a couple of pounds.

Using leg weights or ankle weights is a GREAT way to train for an upcoming running event or for sports that require a lot of running such as soccer and football. Wearing leg weights is like doing curls with free weights with your arms, only you achieve the SAME effect with the lower body. Your body will become used to running, walking and living with those few extra pounds, and when they are removed you'll be a lot faster, and it's very noticeable!

I badly sprained my ankle about 3 weeks ago. I was in a hurry going down the stairs, lost my balance and landed on a bad side of my left foot, causing my left ankle to be stretched going on the inside. The first 48 hours were excruciating and the pain was un-believable. I've never had a serious ankle injury before.

So I immediately treated it using the RICE method. The following day, the bruising and swelling were so horrible. I found out that I got a second degree sprain and immediately panicked after that. I had a football game on that week and it been looking forward to it because I've been training for rt. I had teammates that had similar injuries and it took them months to fully recover, some of them stopped playing altogether. So I kinda had a short-term depression because I can't imagine myself not being able to run and play sports anymore.

Because I was so desperate to recover again, I contacted a lot of people that I know who do sports and asked them if they had similar injuries. One friend of mine, from the boy's football team in my university, told me about H.E.M. Ankle Rehab. I got a copy 4 days after I got injured. I immediately read and followed what was instructed and felt improvement on the first day. I was able to walk a bit, but I was in pain.

A couple of days after that, the swelling and bruising were subsid-ing significantly and on the fourth day, I was walking comfortably again. Although I've had felt a bit of stiffness, I continued doing what was instructed. My sister was surprised that I have recovered this fast. I told her about this book and was shocked on how effective the procedures were. I'm just so happy that this book was shared to me and how effective it is.

Heal your ankle fully & fast?

that is probably one of the worst things you can do. placing a load in an unnatural location like the ankle can cause stress fractures. it also creates a greater muscle imbalance between the quadriceps and hamstrings. the quadricep only benefits when the leg is lifted when running and most people already have weak hamstrings to begin with.

I would only use ankle weights when stretching

it can help you burn more calories - the more you weight the more calories you lose - so if you add a few more pounds to your weight you will burn a bit more calories. It is also gona make your legs work harder and tone them because ankle weights give your resistance.
if you dont have great knees dont use them because ankle weights will do more damage to them.
