Simply because Judaism and Christianity preceded in history the founding of Islamic religion does not necessitate that Islam must be the truth. Utilizing this line of reasoning, why should Islam take precedence over Mormonism [or any other religion that succeeded Christianity in history] as the truth?
We can't have a consolidation of Christianity and Judaism with Islam. Judaism holds that God promised He would send a Messiah and Christianity asserts that Jesus Christ is this Messiah. Islam denies a Messiah; it also claims fundamental tenents in Christian belief as blatantly false: the Holy Trinity, Jesus Christ as the Son of God and Saviour who paid for our sins.
8Jesus replied, "Moses permitted you to divorce your wives because your hearts were hard. But it was not this way from the beginning. 9I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for marital unfaithfulness, and marries another woman commits adultery." Matthew 19:8-9
Islam grants divorce: "A believing man must not hate a believing woman. If he dislikes one of her traits he will be pleased with another"
Would there not be a logical contradiction and incoherence rather than a synthesis, if Islam was the "last message"?
I'm not sure how the claim "the Christians and Jews got it wrong because their texts are "corrupted", and the Muslims got it right" could be supported. How do you know this? Because this is what the Qu'ran tells us this? This would be a circular argument that begs the question.
Hope this helps!

terunaz: congratulations, you're Italian. You take pride in coming from a narrow area of the earth. I hardly think that's more liberating or logical than believing in a Creator of everything.
Eating pork does not make you productive. IT DOES make you an eater of filth, since the pig is a scavenger who eats anything, including the meat of other pigs, bones, excrement and garbage.
The Muslims made the Renaissance possible. Through translating Greek works into Arabic they were preserved, advanced further, and then passed onto Europeans who made further advancements.
I also seem to recall that during the "Renaissance" Italy was run by a corrupt Pope who sold indulgences and triggered a split in the Church. The Medicis ran Florence like they owned it, they also put the Pope in power. Doesn't sound very enlightened to me.

I deny nothing. where I come from, we allow pork in 3475 ways: pancetta, bolognese, salame, porchetta, cotechino. cotolette etc etc and the whole world dribbles just by looking at our flag.
And perhaps BECAUSE of what we eat, we then go on to produce the most stylish cars, clothes, motorcycles you can get and also go on living longer than 95% of anyone that lives in the name of Islam.... in fact, never mind what religion, 80 years is our average, opposed to 40 years of Afghanistan.
We are known to be super lovers, and are responsible for the Renaissance and for showing the British how to take hot water baths while drinking sweet red wine. Can you tell where I come from? no one of us goes by the name of Muhammad or ever was involved in a suicide bombing, nor we deny us anything: pig, cow, wine, love. Can you tell me why all the thumbs down? I can, and I don't care, nor should you :)

When did God leave? Who said he stopped talking? Who said God only lived somewhere in the Middle East? Did God ever go to South America or Japan? Just what language does he speak? Does he really have a long white beard? I heard he was Chinese, or maybe it was a Zulu. I hope he says something soon! But due to religion if someone said that God spoke to them they would be put in a nut house or beheaded!!!!!!!!
Your own religions have you people so mixed up that you all have no idea what a power, that we call "GOD" really is. Your religions have blinded you by giving God a "name". Energy is universal. So is "GOD"!!!!!!
Answer to your question is NO.

No, I believe what Jesus said about prophets who would come after Him teaching a different way of salvation.
Matthew 24:24 For false christs and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect. 25 See, I have told you beforehand. 26 So, if they say to you, 'Look, he is in the wilderness,' do not go out. If they say, 'Look, he is in the inner rooms,' do not believe it. 27 For as the lightning comes from the east and shines as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.

No, because I have in my hands a message from God that has come long since Muhammad made his claims. It's called the Book of Mormon and was revealed by a modern Prophet named Joseph Smith. And it testifies to the divinity of Jesus Christ. It testifies of His atonement. And it testify that God's work has not ceased nor will He stop sending messages.
You see when God stops speaking, its not because God has nothing to say, its because the people have stopped listening. You want to claim Islam is from God, but the very fact that God not longer speaks to Muslims according to your own doctrine demonstrates clearly that it is not.
The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob is the God of the living and not the dead. He cares about the living and continues to speak to the living. Quit looking to dead prophets and start looking to the living ones.

If you ask your question to muslims,we will answer yes we do believe that Islam is the last messege and warning sent by Allah the only one God for all human races. But if you ask your question to jews and christians you will get a no answaers. The last messege and warning of Allah is spoken in the holy book Al Qur'an.Muslims acknowledge and respect other religion e.g jewish religion and christianity religion because it is spoken too in Qur'an that those regions given also by Allah in line with its era through Allah's prophets David with Zabur,Moses with Torah old testament and Jesus with Bible new testament..Jews do not believe in christianity and christians do not believe Islam and Muhammad pbuh because they were jealous. They do not want to accept other religion than theirs. The related verse when Allah gave messege that there will be a new religion spoken in Torah and Bible have been deleted by the dirty hands..Jews hated christians and jews and christians hated muslims. But muslims do not hate jews and christians as long as they do not disturb, annoy, offend, humiliate and cruel to us..We do not want to worship to theirs and they are not wanted by us to worship of our Allah. We do not enforce them to follow islamic teaching. Our religion is ours and their religion is theirs.

Islam is the name Allah (God) gave to the religion that the believer (Muslims) follow. Islam is the religion of Allah (God) and whose religion can be truer than that of Allah (God)? And the Qur'an send down to Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) is the last revelation sent down to mankind... and Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) is the last of the series of Prophets (including Adam, Abraham, Lot, Samuel, David, Solomon, Moses, Jesus, Muhammad, etc... peace be upon them all) sent down to mankind. The message of Islam is the final message to mankind, though the same as all previous messages (though those messages were corrupted by mankind, hence why Allah had to keep sending books and messengers to clear things up.)
