dont look at your friends sizes - if you are a size 0 it doesnt mean you have low body fat percentage which is what really matters
find daily calorie intake calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours - it optimizes your metabolism)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have protein (lean meat, legumes etc) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min (ideally 45min because the first 20-30min body burns carbs and only then starts burning fat), light weight training (more muscle=faster metabolism)
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, pasta etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

I watch what I eat and I workout 5 days a week.
Diet consists of toast or quaker oatmeal breakfast cookies and cottage cheese or yogurt for breakfast.
For lunch I have a sandwich and a small salad and propel or poweraid option water to drink.
Dinner consists of a salad and a meat like chicken, fish, pork and sometimes a steak.
For snacks I try to have fruit around the house and I like to snack on sunflower seeds.
The eating has allowed me to maintain my weight for the last 3 years. I'm 5'5" and 140lbs.
Recently, I've started a workout routine to try and get more toned.
It consists of 3 days of biking 10 miles, weight lifting 3x a week and jogging for 30 minutes 2x a week. I've been on the exercise routine for 3 weeks and already I've lost another 5 lbs and I'm down to a size 6 from a size 8.
Once I lose another 5 lbs I will have finally met my weight goal that I establish when I first decided I was overweight at 168lbs 4 years ago.
The other thing you have to look at is your body type. If you aren't meant to be a size zero, why set that as a goal? I've always been very athletic and while I know people around my height who are skinnier than I am, the chance of me getting that slender without starving myself are impossible. I'd rather be a muscular size 6 than try starving myself to be a size 4

I think people who wear size 0 look disgusting! I wouldn't eat or do anything that would get me down to that size. It looks like walking death. If you want to be healthy as opposed to death like, eat a balanced diet of fruits, veggies, whole grains, lean meats. Do cardio like running, dancing, walking 3 times a week for at least 30 mins a day, and strength train 2-3 times a week to maintain muscle, but never strength train on consecutive days.

Depending on your height and body type a size 0 may or may not be healthy for you. You should probably check with your doctor to make sure you are setting a healthy and realistic goal. They can help you come up with a sensible exercise and nutrition plan as well.

You don't say how much you weigh or how tall you are, but I would forget about trying to get to a real small size. Change your eating habits and eat more fruits and vegetables, drink more water, increase your exercise routine, and you should gradually lose weight.

i would recommend reading this book: the abs diet for women by david zinczenko. contrary to the title it is NOT a diet or about dieting but rather is about how when and what to feed your body so that you can turn it into a fat burning machine without drastically cutting calories. it also has exercise ideas. fad diets are never the way to go and can be extremely harmful to your health and well being. please give this book a try...once you've read it you'll have the tools to maintain a healthy weight for the rest of you life. :)
