My aunt who we are staying with this summer is thinking she is 20! She dresses in tight or low jeans, and doesn't wear long enough shirts. What the main problem is (and which I am sure she is unaware of) is her underwear showing! If she bends over in front of me or my siblings, we can see her victoria secrets waistband (yes we know what brand it is!). Now, she isn't trying to be a **** or anything, because other than that causal wear, she dresses approporiately.

It seems very awkward to tell her that her panties are hanging out the back of her jeans, hence why I don't know what to say! My little sister and brother are very naughty though, as they drop stuff down her underwear without her noticing. Later she digs up coins or lego blocks from her underwear, looks confused, then continues her ways. But I feel talking to her about it is best rather than dropping stuff down her underwear or snapping her underwear! She's my aunt!

So how should I deal with this?

theres no real way to deal with this. you can't tell someone how to dress but you could mention that it makes you uncomfortable. Try not to look? That'd help. Or maybe you could sign her up for that "How do I look?" TV show. haha

If you do confront her, be polite and expect her to become defenseve and snarky.

The fact that you seem aware she is not aware makes you a very understanding person indeed and the fact that you do not play the pranks played by your siblings also portrays you as a very responsible and respectful person and your aunt must be aware of this quality in you...which means she will value your opinion.

Take her in privacy and tell her that it bothers you to see your siblings play pranks on her because of the way she lets her clothing create such opportunities. Then tell her exactly and politely what it is that you mean and what you want her to do to change that and how good it will make you feel.

If you cannot do it yourself, talk to a person close to her who shares your view.If you remain polite and respectful throughout, she will respect you for that and change her behaviour even if that is not her desire.Speak to her with love...

I went to a party yesterday, and my g-string was showing when I sat down cause my jeans were too tight. There was a little girl at the party who tapped me on the shoulder and said "excuse me but I can see your undies" and I couldn't help but laugh! Maybe you should get an innocent child to tell her!

Why not make a joke of it at first by saying ..wow nice underwear where did you buy it. Then if she responds let her know that she's showing too much of it.
