Eat healthy foods likes fruits and veggies. Exercise... run, walk, rollerblade, bike ride, swim, jump on a trampoline, jump rope, do whatever type of exercise you like.

First, I'd like to point out that you are 5 pounds away from being very lean according to most MD'S...so "alota pounds" concerns me. But below is a way to calculate how many calories you'll need to consume to actually lose weight.
Technically, there's no magic number of calories we should all eat each day to lose weight. While most people can lose weight eating around 1,500 calories, you can assess your own personal caloric needs with a little math. You can assess your basal metabolic rate -- also known as your BMR. For women: 655 + (4.3 x weight in pounds) + (4.7 x height in inches) - (4.7 x age in years) --I don't know how old you are or I'd do the math for you. Once you figure this out, figure out what you can cut out of your diet---all condiments are a good start. Then ask yourself if you're ready to change your diet? Here's a start: consider egg whites in the morning with two pieces of toast / fruit for a snack mid morning / a wonderful salad for lunch, fish or chicken / for dinner steak, chicken, fish, stay away from carbs at night. Drink plenty of water! Good luck! I'm sure you're fabulous just the way you are but I empathize with where you're coming from.

since its impossible to spot reduce body fat it just has to be overall fat loss
find daily calorie intake calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours - it optimizes your metabolism)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have protein (lean meat, legumes etc) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min (ideally 45min because the first 20-30min body burns carbs and only then starts burning fat), light weight training (more muscle=faster metabolism)
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, pasta etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

You don't need to lose weight. If you are looking to tone up then diet won't help, you have to exercise. Try sparkpeople.com. it is a healthy diet and exercise plan that is completely free.
