I just bought a treadmill 12 days ago and go on it for an hour every day. I walk at 3.5 mph and then run at 5.5 every other minute. I have already lost 6 lbs, but I really want to tone and slim my thighs. I have also been eating healthier but am growing discouraged. Any tips or suggestions? Has anyone had any results? Also, how long will it take until I start seeing results?

Do a "google" on hindu squats. They are ten times better than a treadmill, and you will see and feel results fast. By the way, this is a body weight exercise, you will not need any equipment, you won't get bulky, they will trim and firm up ypur entire lower body.

Sounds to me as though you are doing great and you have seen excellent results. Try adding some work with weights to strengthen your leg muscles, well all of your muscles actually. The treadmill workout is great and some weight work a few times a week would be a good addition. You have started on a good regimen, so don't let yourself get discouraged. If you have taken on too much with an hour a day, you might vary your workout time throughout the week, or give yourself one day off each week. Keep up the good work. This is how to get and stay healthy.

You say you've already lost 6 lbs? Well I'd say that's seeing results.

you're doing fine, you'll never get results in 12 days, stick it out, then see what happens.

you're doing so well! maybe give yourself a break for a day and get back on...you should rest like once a week at least.
