Ok, first off, slow down, ok? Listen to me, I am a personal trainer and nutritionist, licensed (I also do massage but that won't help you here). The exercise needs to be in agreeance with your body. Don't starve yourself. Do 20 mins of cardio a day, running, or 30 mins to 45 mins walking. That will help you drop a few lbs so that you have the energy built up to increase your workout routine. You NEED TO EAT! You're right turning down that marshmellow, those things are solid fat an sugar. Every time you get a craving for sugar, eat a peach or plum or apple. They're great at satisfying the urge. Eat small portioned meals and know that it's ok to feel a little hunry after a meal. Since you are a minor, I cannot prepare you a meal plan, but you can go onto 24hr fitness's website and do the "Biggest Loser" option and get a meal plan for your age and body type there. Or, ask your parents for a visit to a nutritionist that can help you with your diet. It's a one time thing. Stay active and the most important thing to remember is WATER!!!!!! 64oz a day, or half your body weight in ounces: ex: if you are 150 lbs, drink 75oz of water. It is the best fat burner and all natural. also gives you oodles of energy. Do not starve yourself cuz you'll just gain more weight the next time you eat, and you're more likely to splurge. Ignore junk food cravings and stay away from fast food, people, this stuff KILLS you!! Liver to kidney to stomach to heart...kills. I recommend Fast Food Nation, very imformative, really! Good luck. Email me if you need more help.

Consult a doctor, for sure. Teenage obesity is a real problem in the US. Good for you, though. It's hard work losing weight. You know what I did? I got rid of everything in my kitchen and started over. I walk four miles to the Farmer's Market every sunday with my basket. I buy a bunch of farm-fresh fruits and veggie. Only buy stuff you won't feel guilty eating. Don't starve yourself, either. Your body needs a certain amount of fat and carbs to stay healthy. Try measuring stuff. Personally, I make a huge salad with some spinach for good carbs, then I measure in two tablespoons of grated cheese (I LOVE cheese). For dressing, I take two tablespoons of Ranch, put it into an empty water bottle, add about four or five tablespoons of water, then shake it up and pour it on the salad... That way, it tastes good. I add some other stuff too, like olives or whatever. I can eat and eat and eat. And I don't feel guilty.
Be careful with the running. At your weight, running can be really hard on your knees. Try walking in sand. You burn a lot more calories that way, and it's less stressful on your body. I read a study where people who ran on asphalt, verses people who ran on hard-packed dirt burned more calories.
Good luck! Don't give up. Maybe get some tips from the school nutritionist. Ask your gym teacher some tips for exercises that are effective, but won't kill you. Also, try yoga. Yoga is really good for your respiratory system.

Check out the New York Times article referred to in the link below in the source box. I've been taking Byetta, which is available only with a doctor's prescription, for about two years and in the last year have lost about 55 pounds.
It does not replace insulin or metformin for diabetics but does substantially even out the peaks and valleys in blood sugar levels and also has this wonderful side effect of helping to cause weight loss.

ok first of all , congrats on the 51 lb weight loss, but please don't feel guilty about eating !!!! One marshmellow is not cause for panic!!!! Ground beef is not that bad either, what you need to do is see your family doctor and get on an eating and exercising plan that you can live with, go to weight watchers.com and take a look at some of their meal plans. you can lose weight the healthy way. good luck

well I must say that I am very proud of you for loosing weight and no I don't think you are killing yourself by exercising or not eating everything in sight just take it one day at a time and exercise little until you get used to it and then you might be at a stand still for awhile but eat right and keep exercising and you will get going again ,you might have to exercise more once you are used to the slower stuff ,I recommend doing alot of walking, and theres no reason to feel bad about what you eat ,like what my mother n law always tells me its not what you eat but how much. so hope you have the best of luck and go slow at thing and youll get the hang of it

If your protein intake isn't adequate, your body with metabolize the protein in your muscle. Your heart is a muscle. You will weaken your heart, it will enlarge and you will eventually have a heart attack or heart failure, requiring a heart transplant.
Eat plenty of lean meat and vitamins. Lose weight slowly. I had an eating problem (anorexia) and because I didn't get enough Vit C, my gums began bleeding and receeding.
Please slow down the weight loss. Go to a doctor and get a referral to a nutritionist ASAP.
Good luck.

Wow, that's a lot of weight. I'm guessing you're not 7 feet tall, and are therefore a little (or maybe a lot) husky. Anyway, don't starve yourself. Try eating low calorie foods but slow down the weight loss by eating regularly, though not unhealthily. I wouldn't say you're killing yourself, but 50 pounds in 3 months isn't ideal. That's very impressive, though, I must say.

Yes, talk to your parents and tell them exactly what you have told us. Also ask them to take you to a doctor as well as a counselor because you might need some psychological issues cleared up.
I know how you feel. I lost 20-30 lbs. and I am incredibly apprehensive of what I eat now. By the way, congrats on the weight loss.

starving yourself and exercising too much is just as bad as gourging and not exercising at all
I think your on the right track , you just need to know that you can have some marsmallows and some groundbeef (not at the same time though , that would be gross)
You need to be careful of what you eat and exercise at a steady pace for at least 20 minutes 3 times weekly
