i had always gone for men that were older than me, whether that meant 1 year older or even 10 years older. about a year and a half ago I found out this guy liked me that was two years younger than me. I had never dated ANYBODY younger so this would be a new experience. I dated him for a while, not really planning on anything....and I fell in love with him and we've been dating ever since.:) I say go for it, but if there's no connection, don't force it.

If you want to be with him do it, age is not an issue especially 2 years younger.

do you think you like him? Ask and see if he would like to be your friend. Hey if it's coming from Dad thats a good sign. Age usually doesn't make a difference.

I wouldn't worry about his age. Instead I'd worry about whether he was an interesting guy I might enjoy spending time with...

That's OK - 2 years is no big deal. But if you know you don't like his personality - don't bother.

It would help to know if you are male/female and what your age is. But without knowing that I would say if you like the guy, give him a chance. If you don't want to have anything to do with him, just tell your dad " thanks, but no thanks, he is really not my type"
