No need to worry until you are accepted.
I spent some time as a consultant with the LA office 10 years ago. My employer lent them a bunch of video gear and I had to make it work.
What I learned from my lunch chats was a need for a 4 year degree. At the time they were looking for computer geeks as that was the new crime wave. They like folks with degrees in Law, Accounting, Computer Sciences, EE. I'm sure that list has grown as they have.
They do not run around doing exciting stuff like in the movies. Key word being "Investigation". Street cops with a degree might be very welcome too.
My primary contact told me one of his guys had pieced a shredded document together ( retrieved from the guys garbage, now that's exciting). Took it to the US Attorney and got an indictment. Good work but hardly exciting.

sounds like you don't want to be an agent very much. that would be my last worry......
and "the training place" is Quantico.
that's probably a good piece of info to know if you are planning to attend
