i dont know how wide my rims are, but they are the chrome dodge ram 16 inch.. will i run into any problems if I get the 285 instead of the 315?

Most likely it'll fit, but to be sure, call the local dealers parts department and ask. They'll have that kind of info in they're computers.

yes it will work because lt315/75r/16 is wider than lt285/75r/16

It will fit with no problems, but your speedometer will be off. At 60 your speedo will read 63.

why would want to go to a smaller tire. the truck was designed for the larger tire. you will not like it. ...

marsh is right, no wory about speedometer you o.k. it just would not look soo cool because tire will look slim narrow
