i know this woman that lives in the country outside of Prairei Grove she has a 4 year old girl that she abuses on a daily basis I have DHS, called the 1-800 Abuse Hotline at least 5 or 6 times I have even called Washington County Sherriff for a wellness check on the child still nothing has even been checked on. The child is being given adult strength Nerve Tonic it only makes her worse. She will not mind I admit But a Person don't have to beat her with sticks, belts, or shoes. I am worried about this child. I have seen her drag the child across the yard and beat her with sticks, hit her in the head with a shoe and I have reported it still nothing, The child had staph infection in some sores she refused to give her the medicine she was perscribed. I don't know what else to do. bjwill72961@yahoo.com

Go to the county district attorney where you live and tell him what you just typed here... he can initiate an investigation and bring charges against her, if the child shows signs of repeated injuries.

Call the sheriff immediately at 911 if you see her being harmed, if they see injuries when they get there they have to do something. Tell them it's an assault in progress, that will get the response you need. Too many people look the other way on this, God bless.

My first question would be , how do you know about the medications?? Are you close to this family, have visits , etc??
It is possible that they have checked them out and found your story to be an exaggeration. I have seen people who do little more than spank a child and try remedies other than pharmaceuticals get people all up in arms over child abuse.
I am not saying it is not happening, but it is unlikely that what you are describing would not have been checked out.
Is this girl of school age and in school? Talk to school officials- they are bound by the law to report any suspected child abuse.
If you truly believe this child is being abused, rather than call the national hotline, get the DHS number for the county you live in and call them to make a report and call the police when you are actually witnessing this abuse.
Just make sure that it is abuse you are witnessing because if it is not, the family will still suffer just for having the report made, even if it is found to be false.
My suggestions, video tape what you see if you are able- (don't go spying in the persons house but if they are outside and she is getting beat upon, record it, call the police when it is happening- write down in detail instances that you witness so there will be a written record of what is going on.
I almost always say err on the side of safety and never stay out of the business of a child who is suffering abuse if you can do something about it, but having witnessed what can happen when a person is falsely accused, I urge you to use discernment and make sure you are seeing what you say you are seeing.

Call the cops and keep calling the cops. Call 911 when you see something actually happening and make a report. Keep doing it until something is done.

Keep a diary of events, every time you see that woman abusing her child, write down the date, the time and the circumstances surrounding it. It doesn't have to be long, just a paragraph. Also write down if you dont' see the child for a period of time. Note the times that you've called the police and DHS.

Call the DA's office and the US Attorney's office. Call the governor's office and report DHS for not checking up on it. Make sure it gets handled before that little girl gets killed.

That would be not unheard of but a little weird. Lord Voldemort was pretty much evikl seeing as how hello Salazar Syltherin's blood was running through his veins and maybe he was bitter seeing as how he grew up into the orphanage but abuse is a little weird good question though really raising some What if is what makes HP fun.

I would contact the STATE authorities since the county/city don't seem to be doing anything. You might want the school to help you out at well. Speak to a principal/councelor and maybe they could help, watch her, they might even know where you could go for help with this.... I'm sorry this is happening and nothing is being done to help. I would also suggest you get pictures or video tape too!
See if any of the other neighbors notice this as well, and get them involved too.

If it was me, I'd go over and confront the person, or kick their butt!

All the answers you've been given sounds good, but like in my case, I've was violent to the father and MADE them call the cops, and when questioned someone finally did something. These savages are COWARDS and choose children to relief themselves and make them feel big. Scream, cuss, even throw something at them. destroy their property, slice their tires, be mean to them and watch them crumble and see someone step in. GOD HELP THAT CHILD, but if she dosn't then you have to.

Is there anyway you could surripotously tape this happening?

Then take the recording to DHS..... IF DHS still does nothing send it to the closest television station.

I really don't know what to say...It seems to me you have done all the right things, but have you tried taking pictures of the woman abusing the child? (without being noticed of course)
