depends.
X men.
Y men who think they have a "right to sow his wild oats" .
subtract Y from X to get Z.
then neuter the ones that counted in Y.
and Z will be just the right number.
wouldn't thinks be nice in a hundred or 200 years if only decent, civilized people who had a at least a little self control, were allowed to breed or raise children?
man... that'd sure change things wouldn't it?

When people talk about man sowing his wild oats...they make it seem as if it is the male gender who are responsible for this phenomenom.....Who may I ask does he sow his wild oats with? For every man who sows his wild oats there is a woman or more than one....or how many does he have to have for it to be considered sowing his wild oats?.....So how many virgins are actually left anyway?......As this is under "Religion and Spirituality...can I remind you that it was Eve who took the first bite of the apple and she tempted Adam......and women do still tempt men............need I say more?
Best wishes, Mike.

For a start, men don't have sole rights to sowing wild oats - women do that, too.
And not all guys dream of marrying virgins. Guys just have an ego thing about being her first sexual partner whether he marries her or not. Confident men don't concern themselves over being her first.

In order for men to sow their wild oats there only needs to be a handful of women who just deal with a lot of oats! It's not like every wild oat sown is expected to deflower someone is it?

Reminds me of the Muslim fascination with virgins. How naive young suicide bombers are fed fairytales of 72 dark-eyed virgins awaiting them in the afterlife. Their dream is not to only to marry a virgin, but to be with 72 of them for eternity. Does this mean Muslim women are more religious than men by a factor of 72? Otherwise, where the hell (forgive the pun) is this oversupply coming from?

A SENSIBLE man couldn't care less whether or not his wife enjoyed sex with him (or with others) BEFORE getting married. It's no big deal. In fact, it's totally trivial.
To "Rock_chickie_rock" -- There's nothing "sad" about discovering sex early, as long as there was no coercion. Any more than there's anything "sad" about discovering the delightful taste of pizza for the very first time. It simply enhances your repertoire of life experiences. (I'd love to have eaten pizza for the first time as a 5-year-old, instead of waiting until I was 13 to discover it. Same thing with sex, at the respective ages applicable there.)
Finally -- I *was* a virgin when I married, and so was she. And believe me, once we'd done it a few times, we each kicked ourselves hard for having put off the experience for so many of the years we could have been doing it. And for all the unfortunately blown and irrecoverable opportunities!
Advice to males and females alike: If you have the chance to enjoy casual sex at a young age with a willing partner, GO for it! DON'T put yourself in the position of regretting having missed it, for decades to come. One never forgets a wondrous, but blown, opportunity. It's painful. Just be sure to employ safe sex when doing it.
AND -- be aware that if you *both* are teens, and are *both* UNDER age 18, and are within three years age of each other, there is NO threat of statutory rape. You are FREE to enjoy each other to your heart's content!

It is not every man's dream to marry a virgin. In any case, there's too many men that want that dream in comparison to virgin women. And vice versa.

Yes there are men who dream of marrying virgins, and they'd be there if everyone held out,but thats not the case, additionally,in my opinion virgins shouldhook up with virgins,...purity is a concept thats alive..,so the men also have a role to play, and the divorce rate wouldnt be so high if people had nothing to compare sex to,i.e-if they had no previous sexual experience!
but......

No. What she did before meeting me is, frankly, her business. I would hesitate to penalize somebody for her previous actions. And really, why would I want someone I'd have to explain every little detail to? If someone's a virgin, fine, but I don't go around shopping for that. Experience has its positive side. And, whereas abstinence is fine, and certainly endorsed by my religion, some people get kind of creepy about it (the abstinence rings, parties, and all that). The prospect of sharing the rest of my life with someone who gets her kicks by announcing her chastity to the whole world is a bit much.

I don't think virgins feature much in men's dreams these days. I think mostly they dream of finding someone really easy that will want sex as often as they do.
Only when they are older & want to settle down do they decide they want a purer woman with no past (hypocrites).
