Ther are many styles and types that can be given an approximate age. Keep in mind many of the styles were modified, copied traded with others and became widely known.
Some of these artifacts can be 10 thousand years old although most will not be that old.
There are websites that will give you some background on eras and types of points. Also keep in mind if you find a very large point, it may not be a spear point but rather a knife blade.
Try Native American Artifacts for sale., in your search bar. You will find alot of sites selling these items. Also keep in mind there are many laws regarding found artifacts and digging for artifacts. Some states do not allow picking up of surface points either. Of course, if you find a huge amount or pot shards, bones, you may want to notify authorities if on your property.
My area has a large concentration of mounds and villages that age from about 1000 AD to 1690's an happen to be where Joliet and LaSalle explored and traded with native Americans.
