The Koran says you can not force someone to convert to Islam, yet if a Muslim converts to another religion,?

he or she is killed, usually by a family member. MUSLIMS----how do you explain this? And how do you explain honor killings---killing a female family member for an inproper sexual affair, or even if she is raped. If you all keep claiming your religion is not evil like we think, how do you explain all this. And please--- no "Allah knows best" or death threats towards me. That only reinforces the view that I am trying to change.

If you stop believing in God you will suffer the consequences by God Himself. Killing is a sin in Islam unless you need to protect yourself or someone else.

Many muslims have converted to different religions, I didn't hear anything about them being killed by there family members, their family members are usually dissapointed, that there son/daughter/cousin/whatever doesn't want to be a muslim anymore, but they don't kill there own loved ones. There are certain muslims, which are extremely religious, that disown there children if they have improper sexual affairs...not all are like this. They disown there own children for doing this, because they have taught their children, that it is not allowed to have improper sexual affairs in Islam, and if they still do, then they need to be punsished.

Ok well I understand what you are trying to say but you must understand that most places where this type of stuff happens is improvised with poverty. This plays a big role because the only power that these people have is through their high rank and reputation. They, unfortunately just happen to be Muslims because a lot of these countries av poor Muslim minorities and even majorities with little or non education on things like these. Honor killings are not only done by Muslims but by a lot of people, especially in Africa, by the CULTURAL demands.

Let me tell you why, because these people use their daughters as finance lets say. No one will marry them, and they will not have a son in law to provide money for them. This was also done in China, and the villagers would barge into homes killing the whole family because they "stepped out of the culture box", and for religious reasons they believed that evil spirits would kill their crops.

The reasons why you might only affiliate Muslims with these things is because, these days the Media tends to focus on anything and anyone who has a Muslim name and has done something out of the norm or evil. IN ISLAM, Killing and killing yourself are the 2 biggest sins and Muslim or not, they are doomed to hell.

It has nothing to do with religion. What your observing has to do with the family values, and culture of certain countries. They just happen to be Muslim, which is why ignorant people think like you.

And im sure everyones parents would be pissed if their kid ditched the religion they were brought up in. And even if they do convert, murdering is very seldom and rare. It doesnt even happen in most of the world, just developing countries.

Because it isn't really about religion at all, it's about retaining power, political power, over a region and over a people. The religion is just the TOOL that is used by the Imams to do this. It's never been about religion. Once you realise that, it all makes much more sense.

regarding honor killings, anyone killed an innocent person even if she had sex with someone, if it's not without the law of God then the one who killed this girl will be questioned in the Day of judgement and should be punished.

This isn't Islam. Some cultures which call themselves "Islamic" do, but it isn't allowed in Islam. There are sinners in every religion.
