Do I use the same kind of soap i use in the tub, zest soap? the hard green bar? or something else?

usually Sunlight is a good detergent and a good and soft sponge to not scratch your vehicle. And one more thing, what is this question doing in the Singles and Dating section???

You want a good grease cutting soap that is still mild on the finish. The best ones are dish washing soaps, Palmolive, Joy, etc. I find that Dawn does the best job of grease cutting and is also the cheapest. Fill a bucket 1/2 with water, pour in some Dawn, swirl it around and go to town. If it doesn't seem to be cutting the dirt, add more Dawn. Also, soak the car down with plain water before you start with the soap. The extra soaking time helps loosen the dirt just like it does with dishes.
