Ok, one of my friends lives next store to a se offender. THe sex offender sexaully assulted a 15 year old boy and yet he still has custody of his two todlers, a bboy and a girl. The little boy is older and I met them once and they seem like sweet kids. But when we walked by this sick man's house one time, we herd the little boy sreaming for his dad to stop something and we herd banging. Should we do something about it or midn our own buisness. I don't even think he should have the custody of his kids. Could he be abusing his kids or am I just jumping to conclusions.

YOu could be jumping to conclusions, but honestly, if I knew of a sex offender in my neighbourhood and I knew there was a child in the house (nevermind a crying one), I would be on the phone to the police FAST.

In my eyes, even if it is an error, I would far rather this sex offender be inconvenienced with the police checking the situation out, than have a child's life be altered forever.

I don't understand why you didn't call the police when this first happened! Stop worrying about what other people are thinking, or about meddling, and think about the children that have noone to speak for them.

If nothing is going on, then the call to social services won't harm anyone. Social services aren't bad people, they don't WANT to take kids away, they want to protect them.

call CPS!!!! Even if it happened a long time ago.. I didn't think sex offenders could have custody of small children... I could be wrong, but yes... those children NEED a voice...

What you heard could have been anything.... He could have been disciplining his child, or he could have been HURTING his child.

Nothing bad could come from an anonymous call to CPS. Do it for the children.

Report what you heard to your local police. Inform them that his is a registered sex offender, and let the police do their job and investigate.

You can request to be annonymus, if you are worried of him finding out who called in.

It is better to have the situation checked out, than just to ignore the situation for the sake of the children.

If he really is a sex offender, why have courts granted him custody of these children.

Call social services and tell them what you know.

Never "mind your own business" when it is a child's welfare at stake. The worst that will happen with you calling will be that a report is made and it is investigated. If nothing is going on then nothing will happen.
