One or two, but they've always had a hole in their intellect where they keep Jesus.

I can understand your question especially since perhaps you've had a poor sampling, but Yes I have, I am one of those also... THere are many very honest, good and intelligent christians out there...

Thing is, just like in any "religion" we almost always see or hear the worse ones, or those that yell the louder. The true and good and intelligent ones are more humble, and simple and don't argue over just anything to make a point, but they have knowledge about a great many thing! Perhaps you would be surprised to know some, that you consider smart and don't even know they are christians!

Yes. And No smart christian is not an oxymoron. There are simple 'tests' for Christians, some pass, some fail. If you do not currently know what the tests are; do you fail them???

I'm an atheist, and if someone asked me "Have you ever met a smart atheist?-or is that na oxymoron?" I would have feel very offended.

Find something useful to ask instead of insulting people.

Are you trying to imply that Christians are stupid? and do you even know what a oxymoron is?

Yes, but its a little bit of an oxymoron because eventually they lose that respect when they credit everything to the "mysterious ways" of God or some other idiotic faith-based catch phrase.

So I guess the answer to your question is "no", but they can fool you for a while.

Yes, of course. Obviously a smart Christian is NOT a fundie.

There are some, but they usually don't go around saying Christian this and Christian that. There are some that have figured out that science and God are partners and it's silly to say that nobody but christians go to "heaven"
There are also Christians that vote Democrat, and that shows they haven't been totally brainwashed, like these fundamentalist right wingers you see.

No, it's not an oxymoron. My grandmother was a very devout Christian and she was very intelligent and articulate and emotive.
