It used to be. Now the media is owned and ran by the same corporations that own and run our government.

Nope. Every "press" also has the right to bias, and unfortunately they also have the right to slant their version of the truth in any direction they want to which makes it our obligation to question their opinions. If the time comes when we can't, we have lost the freedom of speech. Unfortunately that is happening on a daily basis in the name of "Political Correctness".

It is freedom to form opinion and promote views if you have the wealth.
The press can be a force for good and , also for not so good.

Noooo, freedom of the press simply says you can put into print whatever you damned well please. Whether it's true or not is another matter. Look at the rags at the checkout line at the supermarket and judge for yourself.

well freedom of press also includes freedom of speech and you can tell what you THINK is true
