I see what you mean.Tolerance is now the only moral that seems to have any value these days. Nothing is shocking or perverse. Anything goes except intolerance and discrimination. Being discriminating used to be a wise thing. I'm not talking about racial discrimination. Although I must add, Canada is not the only place facing this new worship of tolerance. God bless!!

Morality has to do with one's own behaviour.
There are lots of moral people in Canada, the majority in fact.
It's the other ones who get all the attention by their behaviour.
Judgement is the criticism of the behaviour of others.
Being tolerant, means not being judgemental, that is not the same thing as approval.

Has morality 'vanished' from Canada?...
... I don't think so.
But I know what you mean...
It's hard to cut Canadians any slack when the majority of them seem to have an woefully low opinion of the U.S.
I have a difficult time blaming them,though,...
especially when you take into account that Canadian persons of influence and power are allowed to spew their anti-American vitriol unchecked;...
...going so far as to call us 'bastards', - and the collective American populace as 'idiots'.
And remember when several Canadians stooped to a sub-human level when they actually 'booed' a visiting American youth hockey team?
Is it any wonder, then, that many of Canada's teens believe that the USA is an evil nation?
I have no doubt that the Canadians are a moral people...
...but I do, at times, seriously question the calls they choose to make when addressing and expressing their morals.

The INCREASE in the morality of Canada as a nation has been directly proportional to the progress it has been making in becoming a more and more TOLERANT nation.
Tolerance is the most vital component of morality.
BRAVO to Canada!! May the USA soon follow in your footsteps!

ene cannot have everything. (moral AND tolerance), but which moral you wanna have. this is the question. moral should be there. to be tolerant is just brainless. but brainless is as well to take over all the inherited moral codex from our parents. it doesnt mean to turn it all upside down or to be moderate. it means to ask the question once more, what the good really is. we got to think it over. because our common "good" does not really work. there is a virus in it. whatever kind of.

Tolerance does not invalidate morality - Canada is peaceful, there is far less violence than in other developed countries of its population, the people let others "live and let live" - no Canadian is encroaching on your beliefs, so leave them alone.

uhm...what?
i personally think it's far more moral to be tolerant and accepting of other than it is to run around screaming that they're going to hell and whatnot.
i think the u.s. could learn a thing or two from canada.
