Im Atheist and I was talking to one of my friends that didnt know I was untill I brought up how I dont understand many things involving the Christan religion and he just yell out, "Ohh my god she dosent belive in Jesus!". My bioligy teacher herd and gave me wierd looks the whole year. Since christans are suposed to be 'so great' why dont the accept the way I think. If your a Christan would you just not talk to me because I dont belive in god? And if your not, dont you find this the least bit insulting?

I read where someone had said what if you died and were wrong. Well, my question to you is, What if you died and realized that you, in fact, were wrong meaning you wasted you life believing lies? See, it goes both ways in this situation.

Atheists, or anyone can be insulting dear, I'm christian and many of my friends are not, but we respect each other because we all know it is our personal choice. And where is it written that all christians are so great? Remember we're human, dealing with trials in life, and it is very hard at times. Our fleshy nature (we still carry as long as we're on the earth) is sometimes pulling us. Any how as I said anyone can be insulting and even a christian towards others, but I believe in respect, "I respect you for your choices please respect me for mine!" That is almost all the time when I can see the honnest people from the dishonnest ones. The good honnest ones, will agree to disagree and respect each other...

I also believe in learning, in seeking in everything in order to personnaly grow. I've seen and met some atheists that have read the bible, out of curiosity. Some have believed, and some have not, but all know finally what we were talking about and that is a plus in a converstaion, to understand each others.

And I would talk to you anytime you want, if you wanted to! You're a human person, a precious life, that's enough for me.

Though you don't believe, I wish you blessings anyway!

Well, in my opinion, I wouldn't ignore you. I would talk to you. However should the conversation come up, by you, then
I'd tell you. I personally do not believe in *Athiesm. If there is no God then what is the sole purpose of living? Why do we experience emotions? Everything we do in this life has a reaction to every action we make. And justice is so unbalanced in our society, we can really no longer trust it. Be honest, money can buy your way out of a problem or it can "bend" the Law in your favor. Someone said to me that "hey, if you don't get justice here, tough luck." What happens to the victims? Do they not see justice? Even though they did nothing to deserve the fate they got? If the Law in society does not work, the universal Law will take effect, whether you believe it or not. We see death as a fearing factor because our life is gone here, and we do not know what lays beyond death itself.

In reality, your teacher is likely an atheist. Christians are more and more threatened because their beliefs are ridiculous... sky daddies, winged people, fairy tales of Adam and Eve, and the rest of it. Be proud, but quiet about your good mind, your ability to identify the stupid and superstitious, and your curious mind on how things evolved. The ancients had no knowledge of why eclipses happened, nor why plagues occurred, what caused disease, even what the brain was. The Egyptians had no knowledge of sperm, eggs, and how this evolved. We do..... ancient people said the gods made thunder, and lightening. We know differently, don't we?

So as we know more and more how things work, less and less is given over to god or the gods. Good for you. And if you biology teacher is any kind of an intellectual at all, the looks weren't weird, they were of astonishment... I became a non-believer at age 8 -- third grade. That whole spooky stuff of sky daddies, and the rest of it was off the wall to me.....

Perhaps a lot of 'em know deep in their hearts that it's all just a silly fantasy - and being in the presence of someone who has broken the spell is discomforting to them.

Being an atheist will get you killed or beaten all over the world. Being a theist is only a problem if you're the wrong kind of theist - in which case you present the same problem to others.

I'm a Christian, but not everybody in the world is. Of course, I don't find other people's choices insulting. Why would I? People generally arrive at their religious beliefs, or lack of belief, after intensive personal research, and the fact that they make a different decision than I did is their own business.

No, being Atheist is not insulting. You have every right to your opinion. We love you no matter what. If people treat you differently because of this...well, maybe that relationship needs to be evaluated. But, stay who you are and treat people fairly....you are on the right path.

Eh, so many hypocrites on both sides. It's hard to find an open-minded, accepting atheist OR theist. There are plenty of both. We all see what we wish to see. Atheists see unaccepting theists; theists see unaccepting atheists.

Just be who you are and don't worry about anyone else. This debate is too polarized. Be proud of who and what you are. Be free.

I wouldn't think of you any differently, and nor would I stop talking to you, however I'd try talk to you about GOD. Its our duty to spread the news of GOD and Jesus- to try and be a Christ-like as possible- SOOOOO many Christians have forgotten that. Smile, GOD loves you, even if you don't believe in Him, He loves you.

Additionally, I admire your attitude about these things! Usually people will lash out defencively for their beliefs, but you have been quiet and diplomatic about it, and for that I commend you. Do NOT let these harsh people get you extreme about it-- it only leads to argument and pain.

I do not wish any bad against atheists, but it can be frustrating when many think they should have the right to practice their beliefs when it comes to Government, yet they think that Christians have no right to use their beliefs when it comes to Government.
I know that Jesus is true because God has shown me the truth and I do feel sorry for atheists because in their current path they shall perish. I do not wish anyone to suffer pain.
