NO. The deadline expires when the return is DUE. That was more than 2 months ago.

YES you can! You have till the due date INCLUDING EXTENSIONS to fund a SEP-IRA. For tax year 2007, that's 10/15/2007. SEPs are different than other IRAs in this respect.

See IRS Pub. 560, page 6, center column, "TIME LIMIT FOR MAKING CONTRIBUTIONS". Link is below.

be optimistic to point out to constancy which you're making a contribution for 2006. whether that's a commonplace deductible IRA, record a 1040X to amend your return to mirror the deduction (adjustment), and you're able to get one extra refund. whether that's a ROTH IRA, you do no longer could amend your return

No, way too late. Not because you already filed, but because it's too late to comtribute to any type of IRA for 2006.

No, the deadline for that was April 17th. It's not possible to get an extension for that purpose. (When you file doesn't matter, but the date that you open the account and fund it does.)

no.

the time limit expires on April 15th or the earlier day on which you actually filed your taxes.

contribute for 2007 now, while you have the money.

Probably not. I think that you need to do this by April 15. But check the appropriate IRS publications to be sure.
