How many of you know?

Question

That Amstaffs, Staffordshires, and American Pit-bulls are terriers.
I was just wondering...

Now that I got a few answers, I'd like everyone to know, that I own an American Staffordshire Terrier and an American Pit-bull Terrier.

I just needed to ask because I was at the dog park and my fiance told someone their breed, and she asked "They're Terriers?" Like it was something un heard of before.

I did know that.But like you I'm amazed at how many people don't.i think it's because it's easier to sat Pitbull or Amstaff or Staffordshire than to say the entire name of the breed when someone asks.
I have 2 gsds.I'm amazed when someone asks "Are those german shepherds?"

Hey most people have no idea what end bites so for them to recognize a breed would be an impossible feat. That would take some effort and common sense something that is in short supply now a days.

There are alot of idiots even at the dog park. I was asked if my 28" 70lbs black and tan, docked tail and cropped earred dog was a Doberman Pinscher. What idiot can not recognize a Dobe for gosh sake?And my all blk GSD got lots of people saying Lab..duh..yeah a GSD shaped Lab with erect ears...

I dog show just about once a month so yes I know the breeds and which groups they are in.
