what can I do about this guy (Warning Explicit language)?

This guy messaged me in MySpace a few months prior asking for my e-mail address. I stupidly gave it to him. Then in my MSN Messenger he started asking me when I could meet him and have sex with him. I told him to shut up. Then he said that he'd Masturbate and make organisms to make me happy. I told him to shut up and kept closing my messenger but he kept saying it. I couldn't turn off my messenger becuase I was talking with someone about a prject. I have since blocked him from MS and deleted him from my MSn but he still kept coming on and saying all of the above. I told my friend about him, his dad's the DA, he said there's nothing that can be done because I'm over 18. I told my friend who volunteers for Perverted Justice to watchout for him. She said they haven't come across him. I just blocked him from my MSN but he found other ways to talk to me by getting a new e-mail address. I can't change my e-mail address because I need it for business. How can I get rid of this guy?

I think i might slightly be at fault why perverted justice hasn't had contact with him. I told him one more word and that I would tell the DA and several judges. Dateline did their To Catch a Predator thing in my city and I happen to be friends with the DA's son and my brother knows several of the judges.

I've learned my lesson from this. I no longer give out my e-mail address.

Have the DA over to your house and when this guy gets online say you're not the usual person who uses the computer and that you're a 12 year old girl (or boy). Record and print out the entire conversation then have the DA turn it over to the FBI.

When he contacts you each time, warn him that he is to leave you alone, that you have no desire to talk with him anymore and that he is making a nuisance of himself. Remind him you have asked him several times before to leave you alone. Only say this to him once, twice at the most but do save his information each time he contacts you even if you don't reply back ~ you need that documentation.

Then save the messages and print them up and start keeping a file to show your comment to him and his comments back ~ do not continue to hold a conversation beyond that or you are encouraging him to talk to you.

When you get several of them, go to the police department and file harrassment charges against him. Someone some where should be able to help with this and file charges against him. They may also want to pose as you in order to catch him so if that's the case, you will have to set up business somewhere else anyway so there won't be interference in your work.

You might also write to the various ISPs where he has email accounts and notify them of the problem and see if they can do anything but I'd try to collect some evidence first so you have documentation against him.

Even though it might be a bear to deal with, once you get the police report filed, go ahead and change your email address and notify all your customers or whoever what the new address is so you can get him off your back.

The Dateline To Catch a Predator show you mentioned is about guys who go after underage girls you are over 18 so you are not considered underage. That show does not pertain to you. You may be friends with the DA's son but even the DA said that nothing can be done because you are over the age of 18. Your best bet is to continue to ignore him and stop giving your email out to every Tom, Dick and Harry.

Check the stalker laws in your state. Check restraining orders and no contact orders. Check harassment laws.

Keep blocking him.

And why would you trust what he has to say just because his dad is the DA? I mean, did he tell you that, or do you know that? Don't trust him. He is potentially dangerous, and you CAN turn him in. In fact, keep every bit of communication from him, and take it to the police. Document every bit of contact you have from him. Tell him you will go to the police if he does not stop, and keep documentation of that conversation as well.

First of all I doubt he can make ORGANISMs...and secondly block him and/or report him on whatever messenger you are using .....I'm pretty sure what he's doing is some sort of sexual harrasment

well, Debra, sounds like you're in a mess here. Contact him, gain his trust and then set him up for a bust with the local PD for sexual harrassment...or just send me his email name and stuff..I'll write him a nice letter.
