2 males or 2 females it really doesn't matter. I have 2 femaes are are great with each other. Before putting them together in the same cage, let them out together on neutral ground....another words let them roam around the room under supervision. Put some fruits and veggies with them as you don't want them to just focus on each other. If they get along fine..........and there could be a few minor disputes as they work out who is the boss.......then put them into the cae together. Make sure your cage is big enough for both of them and they each have their own food dishes and water. Put 2 of everything in there. And if they do get along immediately be sure to house them together. If you keep separating them after they have been in a neutral area and are fine, problems could arise. There are also lots of forums about Guinea pigs that can be very helpful. These forums are great for learning how to make your cage that will accomodate the both of them too.
Guinea pigs do very well together and love to have company of other piggies. And they do best when you have more than one living together! And it is always recommended to house same sex together, as all males or all females live very well together. And that way there is no unwanted breeding.

You can either have 1 male and 1 female in one cage and the other male and female in another cage. You will be expecting babies if you do this. I have 2 female piggies together and they get along really well. Personally I wouldnt put 2 males together as they do have the tendency to fight. It can, however be done by slowly introducing them to each other. This can best be done during floor time each day.

I know plenty of males that get along just fine. It depends on the guinea pig's personality. If you put 2 males in the same cage there's a possiblity they will fix, but there is also a possiblity they will get along. Why did you put them all in deferent cages? The females would have been fine together...
Its not like a male is going to get the other male pregnant, and the same from the females. Your just being a little to paranoid.
*Males may become "glued" when the hormones start.*winkwink**

Female guinea pigs are also very territorial, and they will most likely fight. But if you put them together from a young age, they will be more accepting of each other, and they'll get used to each other more easily.
If they're already adults, then you can try putting them in the same cage for a little bit at a time. If they fight, then dont keep trying. If they dont fight, then let them get used to each other before keeping them together permanently.

females normally get along just fine! I would let the females meet somewhere besides there cage and see how they act around each other and if they seem to do fine then put them in a cage together Make sure it is really really really big so they have enough room together and so they won't fight!!!Good luck!

Females tend to get along really well, especially if they are raised together. You may have problems if they are adults and have been separated all this time, but you can try and see how they do. If they look like they'll fight, you'll have to keep them apart. I had one aggressive female that would attack any other pig except her mate!

male guinea pigs don't always fight and neither do females as long as the cage is big enough.

females are usually fine, but if you put the males with the females, expect babies. But if and when they have babies then take the males out or they will eat their young.
