I think he is not qualified to be president and the only reason he's taken seriously is because he's black/young/attractive. and he was on Oprah.

I don’t know yet if he is the right person for the job but I will be watching him in the future. I do not see anyone at this time I feel any better about; democrat or republican, but there are some on both sides I feel should get out before they waist their money. And, I don’t like Clinton; her referring to what her husband did when he was president is no reflection of what she will do and running to be the first lady president is running for the wrong reason! She complains about the problems we are faced with; she has been in office long enough to make a difference but I can not remember anything she has done. If she becomes the democratic candidate I will have to vote republican! And boy, making any comparisons between Obama and Kinda Sleazy Rice is absurd. Two different people with different jobs and different goals, AND, who would want Rice in any office? She is another puppet that might have done well on her own but has danced too the wrong tune; and most often off beat!

He's a lightweight. If he were Asian or Hispanic or White, no one would pay attention to him. However, because he has poise and comes across well on tv, people mistakenly think he is the next JFK.
Barack can't even compare to someone like Condaleezza Rice. She has the experience, the brains, the savvy, the good judgment, and the grim determination it takes to lead a country. Barack is just enamored with the sound of his own voice.
Seriously, imagine this was some white guy. People would be say, "Obama WHO?"

I think of him like every other politician . . . which is not very positively.
To the first answerer: What is not nice about the question? Hussein is in fact Obama's middle name.

Obviously better than you do.
You question reeks of attempting to falsely racially profile him so that people who are even less intelligent and can be conned into thinking he is something he is not simply by using a name they associate with negative images.
Perhaps we should give you the middle name George...
Do you have a problem with all black people? I ask this because you are obviously unable to come up with anything about his political positions that you think anyone else would strongly dislike.

I just don't think the phrase "PRESIDENT OBAMA" rolls off the tongue very well. where are Mr. Smith and Jones when we want a good old fashioned American name? Seriously, ANYONE would be better then KING GEORGE.... with the possible exception of PAT BUCHANAN, any leader of ANY religious or evangelical ministry, or RUSH Limbaugh--

Personally I think its too soon to tell. What has he done besides give speechs that appeal to the Democrats? I feel he hasnt had enough time to prove himself good or bad so my feelings are "wait n see".

I'm with Scubadog35 on this one. He's a very eloquent man...and he's done quite a bit of talking; but I've yet to hear him say anything of any real substance.
...wait 'n see.

I think he has the right type of ideas. This is the type of person I've been waiting for to run for president. He's honest and I truly believe he would do what he thinks is best for our country . . . not what's best for him only.

He is better than any republican running. And he is the only one who did not vote to approve the war in Iraq.
