At work to clock in we have a computer, and on it you type in your number and sign in. There's a space for "trainee clock in" and "employee clock in" I've been working there a month (fast food), and have been signing in with the trainee one without thinking...I still get paid right and noone has said anything to me...I was just wondering, what exactly is the difference? Does anything change if I start signing in as an "employee"?

The trainee one probably doesn't automatically feed the payroll system, but it sounds like somebody has been taking care of you and seeing that you get paid anyway. Ask your supervisor, but I'd guess you should be using the employee mode.
