Im new to nascar and im watching the race in infineon and i find this so much more interesting than the ovals. Ovals are just so much more boring. Why dont they do more races like this? The passes are better and they make way more mistakes and in my opinion it really shows the men from the boys. Go montoya, i hope he wins this

low expectations? I find it infinitely more interesting when a driver gains positions from good strategy and superior racing lines, late braking spots and being early on the power rather than some guy just keeping his foot to the floor and drafting. All the moves on ovals are identical.

and if montoyas not a contender why is he leading rookie of the year and he's eating these so called experienced racers alive when it comes to a race that involves technique(ie. sonoma). For a guy who never drove a stock car before last september i reckon he's either talented or it musnt be that difficult(after all he has had two top tens and the potential for much better but ill admit he does make some stupid moves) so i choose to believe he's good rather than stock cars are easy to drive.

shirley e: ahahaha!! he was way aster anyway he wouldnt have had a problem passing him even if harvick put up a fight. In a road race no one can compete with him and montoya was cruising to save fuel. Started 32nd and still won and he sucks? Yeah, that makes sense....Jeff gordon put in a serious drive as well. Its all gravy baby!!

I love Road Course Racing myself. I love the action, strategy, and the diffculty factor involved.

It's a shame there are only two road course races in the season. Every other style of track has at least four races (i.e. restrictor plate tracks, speedways, short track.) Worse still is that there is not a road course race in the "Chase". How can you determine a Champion if the Championship Chase does not feature every style of track?

p.s. followthevulcan home, your comments where extremely racist and a disgrace to the NASCAR Nation. Grow up or stop showing up to NASCAR Answers you goosestepping NAZI.

Its a good change when they go to the road courses. Id like to see one more road race a year and a newer track.

Not all the oval races are boring. The newer "cookie cutter"
tracks make for some lame races, but for the most part the rest of the tracks have some awesome racing.

I prefer the long track races by far. Montoya is not a serious Nascar contender.

You really have low expectations dont you?

Just how many laps has he lead???? Harvick LET him pass because his crew chief believes that JPM doesnt have enough fuel to last the entire race. I dont call that smoking anyone and I hope the jerk runs out of gas and or crashes.

I love the short tracks. Bristol is my favorite but the road coarses are a good change of pace.

This is way more boring and JPM is a jerk. He needs to go back to F1. JPM also known as Justa Prick Mexican.
