James 3:6
. 6The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole person, sets the whole course of his life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell.

-Do you notice how we do speak things we should not? How corrupt words come out of our mouth? Even when we do not wish for them to? This verse is so true! As is all of God's word of course.
We must be reminded of this- how easily the tongue corrupts!
James 3:9-12
9With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in God's likeness. 10Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers, this should not be. 11Can both fresh water and salt[a] water flow from the same spring? 12My brothers, can a fig tree bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Neither can a salt spring produce fresh water.

James 1:19
So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath;

Thank for sharing this meaningful verse however man can tame his tongue if and when he/she is taught the real facts regarding the use of words and the effects of vibration. After all god verbalized the words that initiated the creation, we are created in the image and likeness of god therefore we have the same qualities and abilities in addition to the gift of free will which bestows upon us great responsibility. Knowing that our words create realities we better make sure that these realities are exactly what we can handle.

You've said it, man cannot tame, because we have tongue apart from animals. Also, man has self restraints, apart from animals, just because we're hungry we do not go snatch a burger from the person next to you. That is the difference between man and animals. God bless. Oliveoil

True.

For man, silence is truly a virtue. We must make way for God to speak into the hearts of those that are lost.

God, not man, is the only one that can lead a heart to repentance.
