(p) = (peace be upon him)

Dear brothers and sisters,

If I am standing in front of the IBM headquarters building, and a fellow employee unknowingly asked me, "Is this your building, do you own this building?",

and then I replied, "This building is NOT MY OWN, but it belongs to the ONE WHO EMPLOYS ME",

this would clarify to the person asking that I AM NOT THE OWNER, I am just one of the workers. I do not own the building (Universe), the one I work for owns it.

Did Jesus (p) make such statements regarding his status, the words, the will and the power he used?

WORDS

"Jesus answered them and said, 'My doctrine is not mine, but His Who sent me.'" [John 7:16]
"He who does not love me does not keep my words; and the word which you hear is not mine but the Father's Who sent me." [John 14:24]

"For I have not spoken on my own authority, but the Father Who sent me gave me a command, what I should say and what I should speak." [John 12:49]

WILL

"Jesus said to them, 'My food is to do the will of Him Who sent me, and to accomplish His work.'" [John 4:34]
"For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will, but the will of Him Who sent me." [John 6:38]

"...saying, 'Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from me; nevertheless not my will, but Yours, be done.'" [Luke 22:42]

POWER

"I can of myself do nothing. As I hear, I judge; and my judgment is righteous, because I do not seek my own will but the will of the Father Who sent me." [John 5:30]
"I tell you the truth, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one Who sent him." [John 13:16]

"You heard me say, 'I am going away and I am coming back to you'. If you loved me, you would be glad that I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I" [John 14:28]

"Jesus said to them, 'If God were your Father, you would love me, for I proceeded and came forth from God; I came not of my own accord, but He sent me.'" [John 8:42]

"To sit at my right hand and at my left is not mine to grant, but it is for those for whom it has been prepared by my Father." [Matthew 20:23]

KNOWLEDGE

"But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father." [Mark 13:32]
"But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but my Father only." [Matthew 24:36]

"So Jesus answered them, 'My teaching is not mine, but His Who sent me.'" [John 7:16]

STATUS

"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord', shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my Father in heaven." [Matthew 7:21]
"And the Father Himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard His voice at any time, nor seen His shape." [John 5:37]

"And Jesus said to him, 'Why do you call me good? No one is good but God alone.'" [Mark 10:18]

"And I do not seek my own glory; there is One Who seeks and judges." [John 8:50]

Some Christians (though not all) claim that Jesus (p) implied that he was God from the above verses - we see clearly that Jesus (p) denied being God. The God of Abraham in the Old Testament stated "I am God" over 200 times, yet (oddly) Jesus (p) never uttered those three words once in the Gospel. So we see from the many verses above that the House did not belong to Jesus (p), it belonged to the One Who sent him.

As slaamu 'alaikym warahmatullahi wabaraktu, my brother.
Of course the Prophet Essa, peace be upon him, never claimed to be God, nor the son of God and the Christian scriptures, even in their present distorted shape, clearly show the same. Insha'Allah, we also have the revelations found in the Holy Qur'an.
Sadly, as we both know, there are many who will never hear the truth. They have invested their very lives in following those who have mislead so many and thtey are unwilling to admit their mistake and turn directly to Allah Subhanna wa Ta'ala.
Thank you again for your scholarship and using the blessings of the knowledge Allah Subhanna wa Ta'ala has given you for the good of many.
Ma'a salaam.

Jesus is the Son of God, duh. How can anyone be a son and not be a part of the Father? He lay down His powers when He came to earth and actually became a man and lived here on earth as a man. He did all this at His Father's request. He didn't have to. He did it voluntarilly. Why? A couple of answers: He obeyed His Father, always. He , like God the Father, loves mankind. He was God's plan for mankind's salvation from the beginning. He always gives God any glory and recogniton rather than Himself. When He performed miracles, it was God's power He relied on to do it, not His own, always praying to God. He never claimed to do these things Himself, though He could have.

When people talk about Jesus being God, it is because He is part of what makes up the Godhead. God has 3 distinct persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.....each with a specific purpose. They are all a part of the other, but individual in their purpose and manifestations of abilities.
My family has a family name that each of us carries. But my father is the distinct head of the family with his own power over the rest of us. I am his daughter. I carry the family name. But, I'm distinctly different from my dad in lots of ways. We have the same blood, but our purpose and characteristics are manifested differently. And there are other members of the family, with our blood, that I can say the same about. There is only one father. But, we all rightfully belong to the same family.

You have just revealed all these truths about who Jesus is by your quotes from God's Word. Jesus made the point that God the Father is the One to worship, praise, obey, etc. by doing so Himself as He walked in a man's body here on earth. If He is not God, how could He be in heaven with God in the beginning, John and Genesis, then come down to earth for 33 years, be ressurected from the grave, walk, eat and drink among hundreds of people after that, then, right before witnesses ascend into heaven? I don't know a human that could do that. You can either believe Jesus' words or not. He is the Son of God or not. He is the way to salvation or not. But you can't pick and choose. He either lied or He didn't about it all. To say Jesus is God is a natural deduction from the scriptures about His life. God said, "This is my Son, in Whom I am well pleased." You can't say that about another human being ever born.

Jesus came to earth on a mission from His Father, God. He made that pretty clear. The plan was for someone who never sinned to be the final blood sacrifice to redeem mankind from the sin debt it had. Jesus was that some one. He never tried to usurp any authority from the Father, like Satan, but willingly fulfilled all that God asked of Him.... for our benefit. I pray you will understand the terrific sacrifice He made for you.
