Las Vegas..........

...........just kidding.

Since I hiked to the bottom (and back up) of the Grand Canyon, that would be one of many places that I was awed with.

Although I live with the mountains behind me and the sea before me, and I love this for the splendour it imparts, the scene that actually brings me peace (and which I can now only imagine), is a gently flowing river in England, overhung with weeping willows and a cooling breeze lazily moving their branches and, in the meadow beyond, cows are grazing, whilst at the water's edge ducks and moorhens gather. Then, just for good measure, a pair of swans come gliding by. Ahhhhh - lovely! (When we live away from England, we forget about the copious rain and just remember the good things that the rain brings).

That's a hard question to answer. There are too many beautiful scenes in nature to name. Then there are scenes that are not so beautiful in appearance, yet they still have a different beauty deeper within. But as for peace, I find ultimate peace in God, and because the Holy Spirit is within me, His peace comes from within, rather than from without.

I am a animal lover so I would have to say any animal in a forest, for example a deer. But the most peaceful scene would have to be Mallard ducks floating in the pond.

I also love the Mountains, different trees, the ocean, and waterfalls.

I live in the Rocky Mountains so just looking out my front door is pretty spectacular but when things get weird and I need to find peace when I am not, I go into the mountains find a fast flowing stream and let the dizzying effects of watching the water swirl by calm my soul while the birds sing there songs and the deer gently watch over me.

The Ocean...Specifically poking through the tide pools at the ocean.

That and the beauty of a sunrise as the day is waking up.

nc appalachains.

i go up there too many times a year to even count to just sit and look and think. there are these great spots on the blue ridge parkway where you can sit on the edge and just see miles and miles of nothing but sky and mountain. i've gone before and just sat all day thinking and meditating on the sheer beauty of it.

Just being around water. Like lakes, ponds, rivers, seas, or oceans. It has such a calming effect, and gives me so much peace. I feel so much better, and all things are taken away, and prayer is so much better.
