Is this weird? I'm over 21, under 25... so I'm still fairly young, but most people I know have settled with a GF. I've done the opposite: I had girlfriends since I was 9 years old (no I'm not joking it happened), and then I woke up one day and was focused on working like 3 jobs and school. And I don't want anything to do with dates. Well, has anyone been through a period like that or is?

The point is I don't want it to happen... and I actually have rejected a couple of girls that might have been great. And actually regret it a little bit... I just find it strange since when sometimes I walk in a mall I DO miss the whole romantic thing I see couples do... but then I forget about it. Just weird.

No, it isn't weird or abnormal. You know what you want and you know what you have to do to get to it. Maybe its just a fact that you are scared of being with someone intamately. You probably yern for that companionship, but you are just scared right now or you know that you need to get your life straight before you let anyone else in it. You can't bring someone into your life if your life is rocky and expect that that person is just going to make your life roses and sunshine all the time. Maybe you realize that and figure that maybe if you get your life straight you will be "ready" to have a girlfriend then. Take your time, there is no rush. It is true that the next day isn't promised to us, but I would rather be trying to be getting my life straight than trying to be getting my life straight and keep a steady and loving relationship. Keep going the way you are, though I hate to say it, you are doing just what you need to be doing. Stay focused and keep ur eyes on the "prize".

It sounds like something happened. You may not be aware of what happened, but it seems unlikely you would make such a radical change overnight. Of course, I don't know if when you say I woke up one day you mean that literally or if you just meant it seems like no time. Unless you really need to work the three jobs to pay for school, which I don't know your situation so it's possible, it sounds like you're keeping yourself occupied to keep from thinking about it. Did someone break you heart? Scare you somehow?

I haven't but IMO you don't need a girl. I got one, for 3 years now, and I'm doing great. I've been able to balance everything with my life including the commitment I have with her. I also know guys who feel a gf will distract them in their true goal whether it be a career or school or whatever. Don't worry about getting a gf unless you want to be committed, I'll even say as far as wanting to 'settle down.' Good luck.

Maybe you are just focused on getting your life on track first and have a girlfriend when you know you can support her hey a girlfriend can turn into a wife and kids if you find yourself not liking girls at all then you might be gay(not saying you are)

You're just not ready yet. I feel like the "Special person" will come in due time. Focus on your work and your time.
