I didn't go in to work yesterday. It is a fast food job. It is now the next day and I should call soon and tell them something, but I messed up. anyone have any ideas?

Be honest with your employer. Tell them you screwed up and you were actually scared to face up. If you have been a good employee, they might take you back. Don't be a coward...that's the worst thing you can do.

There really is no good excuse. Just be honest and apologize for your screw up, if you have a good manager they will be mad, but understanding and give you a second chance. You will have to earn their trust back, but at least you will still have a job. If you lie and make up an excuse and they find out, you will not have a job for very long. Good luck!

There is not a reason for not showing up, and more importantly, not calling...that you can "make up" to get around that without creating an even bigger lie...there is no excuse for not calling....

I would just call and confess and offer no excuses...and then take your lumps. Good luck.

There aren't a lot of good excuses for that. They have probably fired you.

If you go in with a cast on your leg and your arm in a sling, they might take you back.

Tell them you went to jail and it was a case of mistaken identity...lol. Or, go get a better job!
