Sadie is a common nickname for Sarah.
People like the American painter Sarah "Sadie" Irvine are known more with Sadie then with their given name of Sarah.

My name's Sara and the "official" nickname for Sara/Sarah is Sally. But I've always liked male names for girls (Alex, Sam, Jo, etc) so I like Sal.

Try "Sally". I had an ancestor who was married to a woman named "Sarah", and he often called her "Sally". (In one letter home, this forebear, whose name was John, wrote "Dear Sally, Please don't call me Johnny because that's what we call the Rebs.")
