Make a website about the environment, I mean to keep people informed and stuff?

Are you willing and able to do the research that you need to do to make certain that you are only posting accurate information and not misinformation?

The posting of misinformation due to inadequate research and inadequate knowledge is one of the big deficiencies that I see in most of the environmental websites that are currently out there.

Next determine what you can do differently that would be a significant contribution compared to the thousands of other environmental web sites currently in existence.

I wish you good luck and much success with your web site!

No. If you are really interested in the environment. Take positive action instead. Even the smallest positive action makes a massive difference. Far more difference than another website would make.

Plant a wildlife garden or make a wildlife pond, plant fruit trees, soft fruit bushes, do anything that will have a positive outcome on your own and neighbours' environment and lives. If you don't have access to the garden, offer to do an elderly neighbour's garden for them. If noone has gardens start a community gardening project.

Hate gardening? Share your knowledge of the environment by volunteering, for example by becoming a teachers's helper in infant/junior school or at your local youth club.

Love shopping? Why not arrange a free swapper's group to prevent clothes from going into landfill?

Come up with a novel idea about the environment and it just might work. Otherwise the only people who might visit your site will be friends and family. Get a few sponsors to promote your site. If anything it might be a great educational tool.

You wouldn't be the first, but you better have lots of time to research the information or sooner or later someone will challenge your facts and call you a liar.

Don't do it unless you have a thick skin.
