Had some blood tests done a few weeks ago. The doctor said if anything "serious" came up he would call me. He scheduled a follow-up and he would review the blood tests then. The appointment is this Thursday.
I get tired and lazy spells. I dont know what it is. So hes checking my liver, chloresterol, and heart, and my thyroid through these blood tests. Oh and my blood sugar LOL! I'm only 15 and sound like a 50 year old guy talking.

No. At the appointment i went to, to get checked out. He made a follow-up anyway. I was wondering would he call my parents if he found anything, or would he just wait until i go back next thursday? This was a month ago.

The blood tests will show up any abnormalities that might be contained in your blood and which might point to a cause for your symptoms. The blood sugar test could point towards any abnormal glucose content in your blood. High blood sugar would indicate - not enough insulin, too much food, infection, fever or illness, emotional stress. Whilst low blood sugar would be indicative of - too much insulin, not enough food, unusual amount of exercise or a delayed meal. Your age is also important and sometimes an illness might start when a person is in their teens rather than when an adult. Conversely, some illnesses only start in adult life. All the tests that you state that have been done or will be done, are to assess your bodily condition in order to try to discover the reason for your symptoms.
Hope this helps

I had a problem something like yours when I was 15. The doctor ordered all kinds of tests.
When you go to the doctor with a problem, most of the time you tell him about it and he knows just what it is. Sometimes, though, problems are harder to diagnose. So the Dr. will think of a lot of things that it might be, and test you for those. It doesn't mean all those things are wrong, it's just to rule out certain things. Fatigue, like you have, can be caused by LOTS of things!
When the tests come back, some results might be out of the normal range so he might order another round of tests.
If you really want to learn about it, ask for a copy of the test results (you're entitled to them!). Then there are sites on the Internet where you can read about these tests and see what the normal range of results should be, and what abnormal results might mean. (Google 'blood test results' and you'll see a lot of these.)
When you see the doctor again, feel free to ask a lot of questions. If there's a test result that's out of range, ask him to explain just what it means. Remember -he- works for -you-, not the other way around.
You're probably going to be okay. Hope so anyway. Good luck!

If you have not heard anything from the Dr. then you don't have anything serious. It could be your thyroid. He will discuss that with you at your appt. Sometimes it can just be what I have always called the "in-between" spell. You are feeling a little low because you are neither fish nor fowl, shat I mean is .. You are not a child anymore, but your still not an adult. Good luck and hang in there. Things will get better soon..

i wouldn't worry about it. if it were anything serious you would be in a hospital bed right now. the doctor just has to check to be sure that nothing is wrong. my friend has the same symptoms as you and she turned out to be fine, she just had to take some medication. the doctor had to do MRI's and cat scans to figure out what was wrong, but nothing too serious. dont worry! hope i helped.

Sounds like normal tests. You're 15? you probably just don't get enough sleep and eat as well as you should.

A parent/guardian should be involved. Don't jump to any conclusions. Make the appointment and listen carefully to what he/she has to say.

well, if he scheduled the follow up, I would assume he has found something in your lab work, and may be able to help you feel better.
