Last summer I taught 3 year old preschool and we made wind socks. First give each child a long sheet of blue construction paper then give them large star cut outs to glue on. Then roll the consturction paper up long ways until the two ends meet and tape together or staple. Then glue or staple on strips of red, white and blue streamers. Attach some yarn at the top to hang and there you go. These look really good hanging from the ceiling. Hope that helps.

i dont have any pictures, but you could make little decorative flags to hang around the house. you can cut white shirts you dont want or u can buy for a $1 shaped like a rectangle for the flag and tell them to decorate the flag to look like the US flag, or just decorate it with stuff like the word "independance day" and glitter and gems or beads. and you glue on a wooden stick and wait for it to dry. then you tell them to hang it where they like it to be.

you could use some paint or an ink pad and have them make a handprint flag on paper. but it would take supervision on your part!
