so I was like wtf? and he said "nevermind, you don't get the reference" anyone know what movie or watever this reference is from?

It is from the show Seinfeld. It is a cute reference - no hidden meanings.

How come the guy just couldn't tell you where it came from? What is the big secret? He was trying to be funny, then he turned into any idiot.

It's a Seinfeld reference.

Jerry, George and Elaine had a discussion questioning why people say "God bless you". So, instead, Jerry proposes saying "You're so good looking" when someone sneezes.

I've used it a few times and have gotten a reaction similar to yours but if someone actually does get it, I'll bet it's a great conversation starter!

This was from a Jerry Seinfeld episode, where the were wondering why people said "God bless you," after some one sneezes. They thought it would be better to say "your so good looking".

its from an episode of "Seinfield". the whole episode revolves around how you should respond to a sneeze...and thats the conclusion they come to. its on TBS all the time you should watch it...its pretty funny
