Well, it's starts at 4pm at my house, but you got to realize they are in California. The races start there for them at 2pm. They could had started an hour or two earlier, but they just didn't.

While we may not like having to miss something else on TV I don't have a problem with the races starting later. You have to understand that it can get up to and over 200 degrees inside those cars. If they have to start the race a little late for their safety, so be it. Would you like to sit in a car when it is over 200 degrees when it is already over 100 outside? That could easily kill a driver and cause a crash that could kill others. Not to mention all the fans setting in the stands. Would you like to have all that heat beating down on your head? Not me!!! And yes, Larry Mac gets on my nerves.

I think they do that so all the fans have a chance to hit all the infield vendor booths and get a chance to maybe get to see or meet their driver.
