I was an assistant manager but I'm looking for a part-time job. Someone has told me that no place will hire me in an entry-level part-time sales associate position because I'm overqualified. Is that true? Hope not!

You should be OK - since you're just looking for part time, they can figure out you're not looking for management at this time. Even if you were looking for full time you'd probably still be a good candidate for them, since you'd have good experience.

Nope, lots of places hire part-time help that is "over qualified" especially around the holidays. This will be a tougher time of year because a lot of students get summer jobs. Just make sure there is no conflict with your main job.

Not at all. Check out Office Depot, Lowe's, Verizon, B & N, etc. The jobs are out there, don't give up!
