Would definately increase stamina...would think it would also help to build overall strength...just an opinion, though...i workout, but I'm no fitness expert.

Your spine won't appreciate the stress of you running carrying 10 lbs. in each hand. You could safely walk that far carrying that much weight, and that will really make your wrists and forearms stronger (as well a burn a lot of calories).
Honestly, running with this weight in your hands is not a good idea.

Its great for your body as long as your diet is good too. Its not about it not helping its about if you're getting enough protein in you diet, if you're that kind of training you really need to get more proteins and overall more nutrients in your body. You have also the acception of eating a little more than 2000 calories a day for you active lifestyle.

If you're going for a stroke it's great for you.
But I reccommend just the running and no dumbells. If you want tone do them seperately,m you don't want to stress your body too much or you actually end up gaining MORE weight.

Put the weights in a back pack wrapped in a towel. This way your whole body will get the benefit instead of straining your hands and arms.

You'd be better off getting a weighted vest - this way the weights are more evenly distributed and you have a lesser risk of injury.

Well your arms would be buffer and stronger. But it wouldn't help much except for causing problems in your hands and wrists.
