anybody got any idea what the new car tax prices are for a ford galaxy.does it fall in the higher tax band

Well a brand new ka is £135

Car tax depends on the age of the car, and then either engine size (for cars first registered before March 2001, two bands), or official CO2 emissions (for cars first registered from 1st March 2001 to 22nd March 2006 in six bands A - F, or for cars registered from 23rd March 2006 in seven bands A-G).
Without knowing the age and version of Galaxy, I cannot say what band yours falls into.

Mine is a Renault Espace 2.0 litre engine, people carrier 7 seats. They should both fall in the same category, I paid £180.00 for the year.
